I wrote the Drunk In Love lyrics for my 2011 short film of the same title. If you’ve seen the film, then you’ve heard the song; however, I have never released the song on its own until today. The song features friends and collaborators Emily St. Amand-Poliakoff & David Elsenbroich (both responsible for the song’s music) performing live in a downtown LA loft. Because of time, we were only able to get three takes of their performance.

(collage of an old zine made in 2011)
Kaldi (the MoMa of Atwater) puts art on their walls. They asked us to do a picture show. WHERE THE WILD THINGS |WERE| was created on June 18. Good things have happened since (2 free coffees) thanks to everyone’s support. This Saturday (8.4.12) will be the final day/night you can see the show. We will be having a little get together at 6PM and would love for you to come hang out with us before you go out for drinks. (Note: Club Tee Gee is across the street.) Invite anybody, bring anything. We’ll be playing backgammon in the corner.
Thank you very much!

Then I tampered with it.
In 2010, we planned a party. To make the invitation, I laid text over an old photograph (now around 19 years old) taken by Tommy Bertelsen’s mother. The red-headed little cowboy is Tommy and I’m sure you know the other guy. It was taken on the set of Tim Burton’s Ed Wood, Tommy’s second film.
The party never happened, but the invitation survives.
